i don't like this bonus question for a few reasons:
1) it's not a question
2) i don't know the connection

Was that really the connection? Cuz if so, you are a total show off.

It was Michael who recognized Durand. I would never have recognized him without the bandana. But Michael noticed that he took it off in victory salute and you can see the sun marks from it on his forehead.
However, I claim full credit for the stage 8 connection.

not that I am quibbling or anything, but it looked like the question was what was the connection between the two pictures posted. We both knew that Vino rode for Casino but that was no connection. Casino used to have quite the eastern bloc thing going.

bunny- I wrote the question in a confusing way...the connection was Vino, but the Vino picture wasa posted after the answer so it looked like the connection was with Jackie and Kirsipuu...but Vino was the connection...
